Berlin, SANA – The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated his country’s support to the Syrian people’s right to determine their future in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.
Speaking at the körber Foundation in Berlin, Lavrov stressed commitment to the UNSC resolutions which provide for that only the Syrian people have the right to determine the future of their country, adding that “We do not want Syria to experience what happened in Iraq.”
Russia always backs Syria’s territorial integrity and self-determination.
Lavrov added “We don’t’ want the scenario of Iraq to be repeated in Syria.”
