Syria participates in Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad

Damascus, SANA – Syria is taking part in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad hosted by Australia with the participation of over 50 countries from Asia and the Pacific.

The Syrian team includes 10 members representing centers from Damascus, Aleppo, Lattakia and Homs

Chairman of the Commission of Distinction and Innovation Imad al-Azb said the participating students were the top students chosen for participation in international Olympiad competitions.

He noted that Syrian students won three bronze medals at previous Asia Informatics Olympiad and one silver and 4 bronze medals at international informatics Olympiad.
