People’s Assembly discusses a number of bills

Damascus, SANA – The People’s Assembly discussed a number of draft laws at its 19th session of the third ordinary round of the 2nd legislative term, headed by Speaker Hadiyeh Abbas.

The draft laws include a bill on extending the provisions of Law No. 4 for 2016 exempting business owners who are subscribers to the General Organization for Social Insurance from interests and additional charges incurred.

Members of the Assembly also discussed a draft law on the establishment of civil courts (Appeal and First Instance) to deal with maritime cases in the provinces of Tartous and Lattakia.

They also discussed a bill amending article within Legislative Decree No. 11 for 2015 on exempting locally-produced goods from consumer spending fees when exported abroad.

The MPs discussed a bill amending Legislative Decree No. 17 for 2015 related to amendment of the consular charges for granting and renewal of passports and travel documents for Syrian citizens abroad.
