Raqqa, Jan.18 (SANA) Engineering units from Syria’s Ministry of Interior on Sunday dismantled a large number of explosive devices and landmines planted by PKK terrorist militias in the streets and public service facilities of Tabqa city, west of Raqqa, after the militias were expelled from the area by the Syrian Arab Army.
The Ministry said the devices were safely removed and transferred to secure locations in accordance with strict technical procedures, aimed at protecting civilians as well as public and private property and preventing potential hazards.
The ministry added that specialized teams continue to monitor the city and carry out a comprehensive security sweep to ensure the area is free of any remaining threats. The operation comes as part of ongoing efforts by the competent authorities to combat terrorism and to restore safety and stability for residents.
