Washington, March 7 (SANA) – US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Iran could face a “very strong” strike as tensions continue to escalate in the region.

According to CBS News, Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform that Washington is seriously considering expanding its list of potential targets inside Iran.

The US president said Iran is under “severe pressure,” claiming that Tehran had apologized to its neighbors in the Middle East and pledged not to target them again following ongoing US and Israeli strikes.

Trump also argued that the developments mark what he described as Iran’s first defeat against neighboring Middle Eastern states in centuries, adding that Tehran is no longer the dominant power in the region.

The US-Israeli war against Iran has now entered its second week, while Iran continues launching missile and drone attacks on several Arab countries in the region, causing casualties and significant material damage.
