Rome, Sept. 10 (SANA) Napoli suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday in the opening round of the UEFA Champions League.
Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard scored Arsenal’s only goal in the 75th minute, giving his side three points at the start of their campaign in the competition, where they finished runners-up in the previous edition.
With the result, Arsenal moved onto three points and sit 12th in the standings on goal difference behind the teams above them, while Napoli remain without a point in 30th place.
