Mauritanian President congratulates President al-Sharaa on assuming the presidency

Nouakchott, SANA-President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent on Wednesday, a congratulatory cable to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Sharaa, on the occasion of his assumption of the presidency of the Republic.

“On assuming your duties as President of the Syrian Arab Republic during the transitional phase, I am pleased to extend to Your Excellency, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and on my own behalf, warmest congratulations and sincere wishes.”As reported by the Mauritanian News Agency, the text of the cable.

The congratulatory cable added: “As I ask God Almighty to grant you success in leading Syria towards a future of security, stability and prosperity, I assure you of our aspiration to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between our two brotherly countries.
