President Al-Sharaa calls for greater cooperation with NGOs in humanitarian response
President Ahmad al-Sharaa meets Syrian Civil Society representatives, discusses humanitarian priorities

Damascus, Mar.8 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met on Saturday with a delegation of representatives from Syrian civil society organizations to discuss the humanitarian situation and priorities for response during the current phase.

During the meeting, held at the People’s Palace in Damascus, discussions focused on the humanitarian reality and the most urgent response priorities amid the challenges facing affected communities.

President al-Sharaa stressed the importance of strengthening partnership and coordination between government institutions and humanitarian organizations to ensure that basic needs are effectively met.

He also pointed out to the need to move gradually from emergency relief efforts toward early recovery programs.

For their part, participants presented several challenges affecting their work and proposed recommendations aimed at strengthening coordination mechanisms and expanding communication channels.

They also called for organizing joint workshops to improve the effectiveness of humanitarian response and broaden programs supporting communities affected by the crisis.
