London, March 7 (SANA) – The British Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that the United States has begun using British military bases in “specific defensive operations” against Iran.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the ministry said the move aims to prevent Iranian missile launches in the region.
The development comes amid ongoing U.S. and Israeli military operations targeting Iran, which began on February 28. Since then, several Gulf countries and other regional states have faced Iranian missile and drone attacks, causing casualties and property damage.
Earlier this week, the UK held consultations with the U.S. and Bahrain, during which the parties reaffirmed their commitment to collective efforts to address regional security threats.
