Palestinian National Council: Bureij camp massacre is a dangerous escalation
Israeli airstrikes targeting al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza

Occupied Jerusalem, April 11 ( SANA)– Palestinian National Council President Rawhi Fattouh affirmed that the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in al-Bureij camp, central Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death of six Palestinians and the injury of others represents a dangerous escalation within an aggression based on organized terrorism and policies of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

Fattouh said on Saturday in a statement qouted by the Palestinian news agency WAFA that the occupation government continues to violate Palestinian blood, noting that targeting children and women has become part of a systematic policy aimed at justifying the crime, in blatant defiance of international law and agreements protecting civilians.

Fattouh also called on the international community to move beyond statements of condemnation and take practical, tangible steps to halt the ongoing violations, enforce accountability, and end the policy of impunity, in a way that ensures respect for international law and human rights.

Earlier today, six Palestinians were killed and others were injured in Israeli shelling on areas in central and southern Gaza Strip.
