Damascus, May. 21 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani received a telephone call on Thursday from the Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
During the call, both sides reaffirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and discussed ways to deepen joint cooperation across various fields, including economic, trade, and energy sectors.
Minister al-Shaibani, according to a statement published by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, reaffirmed Syria’s keenness and full readiness to continue supporting all efforts that contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and the two brotherly peoples.
The two sides also agreed on the importance of continuing efforts to establish a joint coordination committee, as a practical step to advance implement the outcomes of the recent visit by Prime Minister Salam to Syria.
