Damascus, May.21 (SANA) The National Commission for Missing Persons announced on Thursday that its teams, in cooperation with Syrian Civil Defense teams, responded to a report of human remains in the Ish al-Werwer area of rural Damascus on Wednesday.
In a statement received by SANA, the Commission stated that specialized teams collected, and exhuming the remains.
The Commission affirmed that work continues in coordination with relevant authorities as part of efforts to uncover the fate of missing persons, provide justice for their families, and uphold their right to know the truth.
Yesterday, the commission reponded to a report regarding the suspected presence of human remains in the Mezzeh Highway area of Damascus, after they were found during excavation and construction work at the site.
