Beirut, April 8 (SANA) Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 12 people and wounded dozens more, Lebanese official media reported Wednesday, citing preliminary figures from health authorities.
Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), citing the Ministry of Public Health’s emergency operations center, said Israeli warplanes struck the city of Sidon, killing eight people and wounding 22 others, according to an initial toll.
In a separate strike in the Tyre district, four people were killed when a building in the Jal al-Bahr area near Hiram Hospital was hit, the report said.
Another strike targeting a site used by medics from the Islamic Health Authority in the town of Shaqra resulted in several injuries.
In the Ras al-Ain al-Samariya area and along the Seddiqine road in the Tyre district, several people were injured after Israeli drones struck two vehicles. Israeli forces also shelled the towns of Kfara and Majdal Silm, as well as the al-Haniya and al-Mansouri areas.
The latest attacks come a day after Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said the death toll from Israeli strikes since March 2 had risen to 1,530, with 4,812 people wounded.
