Damascus, May.12 (SANA) Internal Security Forces arrested Nouri Abdulrahman al-Ali after investigations confirmed his involvement in combat activities and military campaigns alongside the deposed against opposition-held areas.
The Ministry of Interior said on its Telegram channel on Tuesday that preliminary investigations and security monitoring records revealed that the detainee had been affiliated with sectarian militias and had actively participated in military confrontations and systematic attacks, particularly in the countryside of Idlib and Hama.
According to the ministry, the suspect was referred to the Anti-Terrorism Directorate to complete the investigations, in preparation for transferring his case to the competent judiciary so that he may receive fair legal accountability in accordance with applicable laws.
