Kuwait City, May 10 (SANA) Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said Sunday that the country’s air defense systems intercepted hostile drones detected in Kuwaiti airspace.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Saud Abdul Aziz Al‑Atwan said the armed forces detected several hostile drones early Sunday and responded to them in line with approved military procedures.
He added that Kuwait’s armed forces remain fully prepared to protect the country’s security and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli-Iranian war in late February, during which Iran has launched attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in several Gulf countries and other states.
