Occupied Jerusalem, March 19 (SANA) A Palestinian was killed and another seriously injured Thursday in an Israeli airstrike east of Gaza City, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
WAFA said Israeli aircraft targeted a group of Palestinians in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City, resulting in one fatality and critical injuries to another person.
The overall toll from the ongoing war on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,250 killed and 171,899 injured, according to Palestinian sources.
In the West Bank, Israeli forces arrested 15 Palestinians during raids carried out across several areas, WAFA reported.
The raids targeted the towns of Beit Ummar and al-Samu in Hebron, Beita and Odala south of Nablus, and al-Jalazone refugee camp in Ramallah, where homes were stormed and searched.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers stormed Khirbet al-Tawil, east of Beit Furik near Nablus, and attacked Palestinians and their property.
Israeli forces had also carried out arrests in the West Bank a day earlier, detaining dozens of Palestinians.
