Damascus, Sept. 10 (SANA) Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Qutaiba Kadish met with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), headed by Elena Bourganskaia, IFC Vice President for Strategy and Operations Support.
The meeting discussed prospects for resuming IFC operations in Syria and its potential role in supporting the private sector, attracting investment and financing projects, with the aim of stimulating economic activity, creating jobs and supporting recovery and reconstruction efforts.

The two sides also discussed capacity-building programs, financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, and environmental, social and governance standards.
Kadish stressed the importance of translating the cooperation into concrete projects that support local production, boost investor confidence and contribute to Syria’s sustainable economic recovery.
