Mecca, Feb. 24 (SANA) The Muslim World League on Tuesday renewed its warning over the serious consequences of the Israeli occupation’s continued violations of international law and humanitarian norms in the Palestinian territories.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the League’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, urged the international community and all nations committed to justice and peace to take collective and individual measures to halt Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
He called for the enforcement of relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the New York Declaration supporting a two-state solution, endorsed by the UN General Assembly. He said the declaration affirms the Palestinian people’s historic right to self-determination and statehood as the only path to achieving a just and comprehensive peace that ensures regional stability.
Al-Issa welcomed the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and several Arab, Islamic and allied states, along with the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), condemning recent Israeli government decisions and what it described as illegal measures in the West Bank.
Earlier this month, Israeli authorities issued a series of measures aimed at reshaping the administration of the West Bank, allowing for the demolition and seizure of Palestinian property—steps widely viewed as paving the way for annexation efforts and further settlement expansion.
