Cairo, SANA- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s firm opposition to any forced displacement of Palestinians, stressing the need for an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In a call with French President Emmanuel Macron, El-Sisi highlighted Egypt’s mediation efforts to secure a Gaza ceasefire, release hostages, and facilitate humanitarian aid. He welcomed France’s upcoming recognition of the State of Palestine in September, calling it a significant step toward justice.
Macron praised Egypt’s role in seeking an end to the conflict and underscored the urgency of reconstruction in Gaza and a just two-state solution. Both leaders affirmed their commitment to continued coordination, reflecting the strength of the Egypt–France strategic partnership.
