Latakia, June 15 (SANA)    Internal security forces in Latakia province have arrested Wissam Saji Osman, office director of the criminal Yisar al-Assad, for involvement in violations and crimes targeting unarmed civilians in Syria’s coastal region, the security command said Monday.

Osman was also implicated in managing recruitment operations and securing financial and military support during events that took place on the coast in March 2025, with backing and direction from Yisar al-Assad, according to the security command.

The arrest was the result of a targeted security operation based on a series of monitoring and tracking of his movements, leading to his detention immediately upon entering Syrian territory while trying to evade justice. He was arrested in the Qardaha area, the security command told SANA.

Osman has been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete investigations and take all necessary legal and judicial measures against him in accordance with applicable procedures.
