Russian Defense Ministry: Intl organizations and states shed fake tears over Aleppo did not provide aid

Moscow, SANA – Russian Defense Ministry called the international organizations and states to provide humanitarian assistance to the residents of Aleppo city.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told journalists that Aleppo residents are in actual need- not false promises- for help, pointing out that no assistance has been granted by any international organizations or states whose representatives talked more than once about what they called “humanitarian catastrophe and critical situation of the Syrians.”

He pointed out that humanitarian aid has reached Tartous Port from Kazakhstan and earlier from Armenia, Belarus and Serbia, clarifying that 12,000 of civilians came back to their houses in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city.

Konashenkov referred to the contribution of the Russian Coordination Center during the past days in transferring 50 tons of food and medicine and distributing them among 60 thousand Syrians in Aleppo, Damascus, Lattakia and Hama provinces.

In a different context, the Russian General said that the Russian sappers defused during the last week more than 1000 explosives planted by terrorists in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, in addition to clearing 57 kilo meters of roads and an area exceeding 360 hectares of mines.
