Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the members of the Russian Security Council the ongoing preparations for the Syrian-Syrian talks due to be held in the Kazakh capital Astana.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the meeting also dealt with internal Russian social and economic issues.
Earlier today, Sergey Vershinin, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the talks on settling the crisis in Syria which are scheduled to take place on January 23rd in Astana form an important step to consolidate the cessation of hostilities and starting a wide Syrian political dialogue.
