Damascus, SANA – The temperatures remain from 2 to 3 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by cold and wet air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general and rain showers might fall over scattered areas and heavy rains are expected in the northwestern and coastal areas while snow will fall over the high mountains.
The wind will be southeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be medium in height.
Tomorrow, the temperatures will drop to become 3 to 5 degrees below average and snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas whose heights exceed1200 m.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 12/4, Daraa13/4, Homs 14/3, Lattakia 18/10, Aleppo 09/3, and Deir Ezzor 14/4.
