Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will slightly rise, yet they will remain from 3 to 5 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general while the weather will be cold at night and frost and fog are expected in most areas.
The wind will be easterly to southeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
Tomorrow, the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general and thundershowers are expected to fall over the coastal and the northwestern areas in the afternoon and the evening, and the temperatures will continue to rise, yet they will remain from 2 to 4 degrees below average.
Over the past 24 hours, different amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces as follows: Lattakia 58.8 mm, Damascus 10 mm, Sweida 15 mm, Daraa 13.5 mm, Quneitra 24 mm, Homs 10 mm, Hama 2.7 mm, Tartous 24 mm, and Aleppo 14 mm.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 9/0, Daraa 11/3, Homs 13/5, Lattakia 13/10, Aleppo 10/3, and Deir Ezzor 12/5.
