Damascus, SANA –Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party, Hilal al-Hilal, stressed on Sunday that the labor class in Syria, through their efforts during the crisis, are partners in making victories and facing conspiracies facing the homeland.
In a speech during the opening of the 18th session of the the General Council of the General Federation of Trade Unions, al-Hilal pointed out to the role of workers in restoring life back to normal in several areas far from “the narrow personal gains.”
He noted that the steadfastness of Syrian workers proved to the whole world their commitment to their homeland and rallying around the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism.
Al-Hilal pointed out that the Syrian people were decisive in their political and national choices last June through the wide participation in the pluralistic presidential elections and electing President Bashar al-Assad for a new constitutional term.
For his part, Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions, Shaaban Azzouz, stressed that workers are today invited more than any time before to support the gains achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in its battle against terrorism and its supporters.
He pointed out that Syria came over “the most dangerous stage in modern Arab history” and it is continuing, through its army and people and leadership, defending its national unity, independence and national principles.
Azzouz stressed that President al-Assad’s inaugural speech is entitled to be a comprehensive and integrated national work plan that contributes to building the Syrian human being based on enhancing the value of work and giving.
