Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain lower than average by 4 to 6 degrees as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by cold western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to rainy in general, with gradual rainfalls, and sometimes snowflake fall over areas of 700 to 1000 m heights.
Frost and fog might form in the mountainous areas and most of inland areas during the night.
The winds will be changeable to northwesterly of low to moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low to moderate in amplitude.
Several provinces witnessed rainfall the heaviest of which were in Krak des Chevaliers nd Marmarita areas in Homs Province.
The expected temperatures in some Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 09-02, Daraa 09/01, Homs 06/00, Hama 07/00, Lattakia 14/06, Aleppo 07/00 and Deir Ezzor 08/00.
