Provinces, SANA – Army and Armed Forces units on Wednesday continued carrying out military operations against gatherings of terrorists in several areas across the country, restoring security and stability to al-Sheikh Saeed neighborhood in the southeastern part of Aleppo city.
Aleppo
The Syrian Arab Army restored security and stability to al-Sheikh Saeed neighborhood in the southeastern part of Aleppo city, according to a military source.
The source added that this was achieved after army units, in cooperation with supporting forces, carried out accurate operations targeting the gatherings of terrorist organizations, which led to the army expanding its control in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city.
The source added that the operations resulted in killing a number of terrorists while scores more fled, leaving their weapons and munitions behind, while a state of collapse and panic prevails among the rest of the terrorist groups in a number of eastern neighborhoods where they are positioned.
Sweida
In the northeastern countryside of Sweida province, a military source told SANA that an army unit killed or injured all members of a terrorist group as it targeted their gathering in al-Qassr village.
Daraa
An army unit carried out a precise operation targeting Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Nazihin Camp in Daraa al-Balad area, which resulted in destroying a hideout for the terrorists west of the Camp’s park, killing a number of terrorists including Yasser al-Damen and Ahmad Qassem al-Ghothani.
The army also killed and injured terrorists who were vandalizing and demolishing houses in the surroundings of the electricity company and al-Rifa’i facility in the western part of al-Nazihin Camp, south of Saida Carpets building, and Bosra Square, in addition to destroying two fortified positions for terrorists north of the Camp and near al-Karak reservoir.
To the northeast of Daraa city, the source pointed out that an army unit bombarded fortifications of terrorist organizations in the surroundings of the bridge of al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbiyeh village, killing all members of the terrorist groups, in addition to destroying a mortar launcher.
Hama
Army units destroyed 4 vehicles, artillery, and a number of positions for terrorists during intensive operations in Kafr Zeta, al-Latamina, Wadi al-Ees, and al-Sayyad in the northern countryside of Hama, a military source said.
The source added that the operations resulted in killing a number of terrorists, including Tarek Khattab who was in charge of artillery in the so-called “Jaish al-Ezza” terror group, Khatab Khatab, Fayz al-Khaled, Mamoun al-shaar, and Ayman al-Faraj.
Deir Ezzor
The Syrian Air Force eliminated terrorists from ISIS and destroyed their armored vehicles and machinegun-equipped vehicles in Tharda and the area surrounding Tharda Mountain, according to a military source.
The source added that army units clashed with Takfiri terrorist groups along the eastern barrier of Deir Ezzor Military Airport and directed artillery fire on terrorists’ dens and gatherings in the neighborhoods of al-Arfi, al-Sinaa, al-Jbeila, al-Hawika, and al-Rasafa, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying their weaponry and munitions.
The source pointed out that a number of terrorists were killed and their fortified positions were destroyed due to artillery strikes in the area surrounding Talit al-Rawad and al-Bghilia to the west of Deir Ezzor city.
Homs
An Army unit directed artillery strikes on dens and gatherings for Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups affiliated to it in the villages of al-Tiba al-Gharbia, Tal Dahab, and al-Sama’lil in al-Hola area in the northern countryside of Homs, according to a military source.
The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and their fortifications and ammunition were destroyed as a result of the strikes.
