Damascus, SANA- Head of the National Commission for the Syrian Science Olympiad Imad al-Azab and Chinese Ambassador to Syria Qi Qianjin signed on Monday a MoU to enhance youth scientific cooperation, open the prospects of scientific development for creative scientists and benefit from China’s experiences in the field of supporting excellence projects in Syria.
Al-Azab stressed the importance of exchanging visits between the two sides to sign joint cooperation agreements in the scientific field and offer many scholarships for the outstanding students to pursue their scientific achievement in China, especially in academic terms of reference adopted by the Commission.
In turn, Chinese Ambassador underlined the importance of enhancing Chinese-Syrian relations in all sectors, hailing the role of the Commission in supporting the talented, building a creative generation of young Syrians and providing support for them to enhance their abilities to innovate in order to serve the future of Syria and contribute to the reconstruction stage.
He noted that the Chinese government decided to provide a batch of electronic equipment for the Commission to support its work and activities.
