Damascus, SANA-The Budget and Accounts Committee at the People’s Assembly on Wednesday discussed the budget for the Local Administration and Environment Ministry and its affiliated establishments for 2017, set at nearly 25 billion SYP.
During the meeting, members of the committee pointed out to the necessity of giving more interest to Aleppo city, supplying it with services and increasing its financial appropriations.
In turn, Minister of Local Administration and Environment Hussein Makhlouf affirmed that more than 60% of the ministry’s plan for 2016 has been implemented.
He added that the ministry seeks to expand the citizen service centers in all areas, noting that Aleppo will be on the top priority during the upcoming period as its allocations are being doubled in the yearly plan.
