Moscow, SANA – The Russian Foreign Ministry denounced the recurring terrorist attacks on its embassy in Damascus, asserting that Russia will continue fighting terrorists in Syria.
A source at the Ministry said on Friday that terrorists fired two mortar shells at the Russian Embassy in Damascus, and that the attack caused only material damage to 4 cars and the embassy’s external fence, adding that the shells were fired from the Eastern Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside where terrorist groups are active.
The source said that Russia will do all it can to prevent such attacks from reoccurring and to see that those who planned and committed these attack receive their just punishment, adding that Russia will also be watching international reactions to this crime, as these reactions will show which of Russia’s partners actually rejects terrorists and which are justifying terrorists’ acts or overlooking them.
