Damascus, SANA – Presidential Political and Media Adviser Bouthaina Shaaban stressed that the sacrifices of the axis of resistance in Syria have foiled the West’s plots in it, asserting that this axis will define the shape of the world in the future.
In a speech at the “Al-Quds, the Pulse of Intifada” forum held on Wednesday, Shaaban said that the struggle should concentrate on resisting the Zionist occupation and its terrorist agents.
“The founding leader Hafez al-Assad didn’t need 23 years to say that the Oslo agreement has no value, that none of it will be implemented, and that it’s a disaster for the Arab nation; he said it directly after the agreement,” she said, adding that it didn’t take President Bashar al-Assad five or ten years to say that the current war on Syria will define the future of Arabism and the world.
She noted to the UNESCO’s resolution on denying any historic, religious or cultural connection between Jews and Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Al-Aqsa Mosque, indicating that the current events in the region expose the schemes targeting the Palestinian people to prevent them from returning to their homes.
Shaaban extended greetings to the heroes of the Syrian Arab army and their allies for their achievements.
For his part, Director General of al-Quds International Foundation/ Syria branch/, Safir Ahmed al-Jarad, said that marking al-Quds Cultural Day and celebrating the 1st anniversary for al-Quds Intifada in Damascus stresses the right of Palestinian people to defend their cause and sanctities against the Israeli enemy.
In turn, Secretary of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah al-Intifada), Ziyad al-Sagheer highlighted the importance of the Palestinian Intifada as part of the Resistance axis in response to the Zionist aggression and in rejection to agreements, negotiations and political settlements with it.
