Moscow: Washington didn’t separate “the moderate opposition” from terrorist groups in Syria

Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that Washington didn’t separate “the moderate opposition” from terrorist groups in Syria yet.

“The US has not been able to force the armed opposition in Syria to withdraw its forces away from Castello road in order to deliver the humanitarian aid to the eastern neighborhoods in Aleppo,” Sputnik new agency quoted Zakharova as saying in a press conference, adding that her country “depends on foreign sides to use their influence on those whom it supports to oblige terrorists leave those neighborhoods.”

She added that the humanitarian situation in eastern Aleppo is very difficult because the terrorist organizations prevent people from receiving the humanitarian aid.

“The Syrian government affirms its readiness to secure the safety of all those who have the desire to get out of the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo during the humanitarian pause which came into effect today,” Zakharova said.

She affirmed that the plans of some sides to send ISIS terrorists who escape Mosul in Iraq into Syria are considered as a crime.

Zakharova added that Moscow is worried about the Turkish acts in Syria.
