Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday issued legislative decree No. 307 for the year 2016 stipulating for appointing Jayez Sawada al-Hammoud al-Moussa as Governor of Hasaka Province.

The decree ends the appointment of Mohammad Zaal al-Ali as Hasaka Governor.

Jayez Sawada al-Hammoud al-Moussa was born in Hama in 1954. He graduated from the Air Force Academy as a Flight Lieutenant in 1977 and holds a PhD in military sciences. He is married with two sons and three daughters.
