Army continues carrying out counter-terrorism operations across Syria

Provinces, SANA – The Army and Armed Forces continued on Monday carrying out counter-terrorism operations across Syria, targeting terrorists in several areas and inflicting losses upon them.

Daraa

An army unit directed accurate strikes on the terrorist gatherings in Daraa al-Balad area in the southern province of Daraa, according to a military source.

The source said that terrorists suffered heavy losses and one of their dens,a number of artillery launchers and mortar emplacements which terrorists were using in targeting the residential neighborhoods were destroyed during the strikes.

Later, an army unit destroyed a bulldozer that terrorists were using in destroying houses and sabotaging farming lands in the area surrounding Gharz Prison in the southeast countryside of Daraa city.

Another army unit killed three terrorists in an ambush on the road of Aib-Jadal in Daraa countryside, among them the terrorist “Malouh al-Ayash”, a leader of the so called “al-Omari Brigades”.

Terrorist organizations admitted on their pages on social media sites the death of al-Ayash after he was moved to a hospital in Jordan.

Homs

A military source told SANA that an Army and Armed Forces unit set an ambush for an armed terrorist group in Abu al-Anz Farms, east of Talbiseh in the northern countryside of Homs Province, which resulted in killing all members of the group.

Another army unit destroyed a number of vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists and killed a number of them in the surroundings of al-Sawanieh in the eastern countryside of the province.

Hama

The Syrian Air Force destroyed a number of the terrorist organizations’ tanks and vehicles equipped with machineguns and artillery guns, killing a number of terrorists in al-Latameneh, Taybet al-Imam, and Maan in the northern countryside of Hama province, according to a military source.
