Tehran- SANA- Russian Ambassador in Tehran Levan Dzhagaryan stressed that the US aggression against one of the Syrian army positions in Deir Ezzor, whether it was intentional or a mistake, helped the armed terrorist organizations so much.
Dzhagaryan was quoted on Monday by Tasnim News Agency as saying in a press conference held at the Iranian-Russian Studies Center, “We were deeply saddened by this attack and Russia condemned it and it is waiting for clear explanation by the Americans on its reality and causes.”
The Russian Ambassador indicated that there is an obvious contradiction in the statements of the US Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, indicating that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has told Kerry several times that”We don’t know who is more honest among you if we want to negotiate with you.”
Dzhagaryan referred to the stances of Russia and Iran regarding the crisis in Syria, indicating that based on the rapprochement between the two countries, Moscow briefed Tehran on the Russian-US agreement on Syria.
