Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed, during a phone call on Thursday with US Secretary of State John Kerry, the prospects of cooperation between Moscow and Washington in fighting the terrorist organizations in Syria.
Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two sides focused on the situation in Syria including the prospects of Russia-US coordination in the fight against terrorist groups that entrenched there.
The ministry added that Lavrov again directed Kerry’s attention to the need to immediately separate the US-linked opposition groups from terrorists hiding behind them, who continue active offensive and atrocities on the captured territories.
