Damascus, SANA – The temperatures remain 3 to 5 degrees above average as the country is still affected by a seasonal Indian low air pressure accompanied with a subtropical high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that hot weather will continue to prevail and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general.
The weather will be very hot and misty in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya “desert” areas, it said.
The winds will be northwesterly of a light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 40/21, Daraa 36/19, Homs 33/24, Lattakia 32/23, Aleppo 40/23 and Deir Ezzor 43/26.
