Israel violates humanitarian truce by bombing Rafah, leaving over 160 martyrs

Gaza, SANA – Palestinian media sources announced that Israeli occupation forces violated the truce in Gaza Strip by bombing a number of areas to the east of Rafah and Gaza cities, claiming more Palestinians’ lives.

The sources affirmed that the occupation forces violated the truce and deliberately bombed Palestinians’ gatherings in al-Balbisi and Gorge neighborhoods in Rafah to the south of Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources, the Israeli massacre in Rafah has claimed the lives of 59 Palestinians, and over 350 were injured.

Seven Palestinians, three of them members of medical crews, were killed when the Israeli occupation forces shelled a gathering of locals in Khan Younus and an ambulance northeast of Rafah.

A spokesman at the Palestinian Health Ministry said that 160 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli aggression on Gaza on Friday, raising the total death toll to over 1600, while the number of injured people to over 8700.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation army announced the loss of contact with one of its soldiers, and later confirmed that he was captured.

In the same context, the occupation army acknowledged the killing of 5 of its soldiers on Thursday during the response of the Palestinian resistance.
