Provinces, SANA – The army has stepped up operations against terrorist organizations in various provinces, mainly in Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses upon their ranks where many terrorists are getting killed and their weapons and vehicles are being destroyed.
Aleppo
The Syrian and Russian Air Forces launched strikes on positions and gatherings of terrorists to the south of Aleppo, killing large numbers of them and destroying armored cars and a number of vehicles, some of which equipped with machine guns and cannons, a military source said.
Syrian and Russian air forces destroy four command centers, three car bombs and scores of armored vehicles and kill a number of terrorists including leaders during concentrated air strikes south of Aleppo.
Quneitra
Over the past few hours, units of the army and the armed forces carried out intensive operations against terrorists’ dens and positions on the military road between the villages of al-Hurryia and al-Hamidyia and to the northeast of Um Batina and al-Hamidyia villages in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
The source told SANA that a number of terrorists were killed and many others were injured in the operations, in addition to destroying a number of their vehicles.
Meanwhile a field source mentioned that an army unit and the popular defense groups in the towns of Khan Arnaba and Jaba clashed with terrorist groups after they attacked military posts in Tal Jaba and Tal al-Buzaq from the direction of the villages of al-Doha and Mas’hara.
The source added that the clashes ended with foiling the attack as a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured and their arms and military equipment were destroyed.
Daraa
In the neighboring Daraa province, an army unit killed a number of terrorists in al-Abbasyyin neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area in
Daraa city, including the terrorist Hani Maddallah Abu Nabbout.
Other army units destroyed terrorist organizations’ fortifications in Daraa al-Mahatta and a position and a number of vehicles to the east of the Post building in Daraa al-Balad.
Damascus Countryside
Army units targeted gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorists and their movements in the farms of al-Dirbakhiyeh and Khan al-Sheeh and in the surroundings of Beit Jinn farm, 27 km southwest of Damascus city.
The operations resulted in killing a number of terrorists and injuring others and destroying their vehicles and ammunition.
Hama
An army unit carried out a military operation against the gatherings and fortified sites of Jabhat al-Nusra in Kabasin village in Salamyiah area in the eastern countryside of Hama, restoring stability and security to the village.
The army’s engineering units dismantled the explosive devices and the bombs which were planted earlier in the village by the terrorists to prevent the army from advancing in the area while the rest of them fled away toward the desert.
Army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists, destroying vehicles equipped with machineguns and artillery positions, and killing or injuring many of the terrorists to the west of al-Saaf area in al-Salamiyeh in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
The Syrian and Russian Air Forces targeted the sites and gatherings of the so called “Jaish al-Fatah”, “al-Jabha al-Islamia”, “Jaish al-Nassr” and “al-Ezza Gathering” in Maaret al-Numan, Aryiha, Jisr al-Shoghour, Jabal al-Arbain, Saraqib, Binsh, Taftanaz, Kafar Zita and al-Latamina in the countryside of Idelb and Hama, killing many terrorists, injuring many others and destroying vehicles loaded with heavy machineguns.
Deir Ezzor
A command center, a rocket launching pad, an anti-tank base and three vehicles were destroyed and 17 ISIS terrorists were killed in air and artillery strikes by the Syrian army on their positions in Tallet Kroum, al-Rushdiya, al-Jafra and al-Huweiqa villages and to the east of Deir Ezzor airport.
Homs
An army unit foiled a terrorist infiltration attempt to al-Farhania village in the northern countryside of Homs, killing many terrorists and injuring many others. Terrorist Khaled al-Abeid,leader of the so called “Ahrar Talbeisa Brigade” was among the injured.
Sweida
An army unit destroyed 4 fuel tanks for ISIS to the east of Tal Shaaf and killed a number of its members to the east f Barik village in the eastern countryside of Sweida.
