Geneva, SANA- UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura called on Russia and the United States on Thursday to work together to reach an agreement about Syria and for military cooperation between them.
Speaking to reporters after a weekly meeting of the humanitarian task force, de Mistura said that the failure of the US-Russian cooperation plan would have a very negative impact on planned peace talks, adding that the US and Russian military officials are determined to come to Geneva to discuss details.
He pointed out that everyone is awaiting and urging Russia and the US to expedite their discussions on the situation in Syria.
De Mistura said it would be premature to comment on Russia’s aid proposal.
