Damascus, SANA – Water Resources Ministry signed with OXFAM a memo of understanding for enhancing cooperation in the field of providing the necessary support for the water resources sector.
Following signing the MoU, Minister Nabil al-Hassan highlighted the importance of cooperation with international organizations and donors as it contributes to the success of joint projects, expressing his appreciation of these parties’ efforts in delivering drinking water to needy areas.
For his part, OXFAM director in Syria Motaz Adham said the Water Resources Ministry is a true partner that provides the support and facilitations needed to effectively carry out the projects in the best possible way, noting that the organization seeks, through communication with the donors, to increase assistance and support, which would reflect positively on the implementation of the joint water projects.
OXFAM is an international confederation of 17 organizations working together with partners and local communities in more than 90 countries. It works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive.
