Provinces, SANA – An army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, eliminated Thursday an ISIS terrorist group, mostly foreigners, who attacked a military post at the triangle of al- Rassafe in the western countryside of Raqqa province.

A military source told SANA that an army unit clashed with a group of ISIS terrorists attacked a military post at the triangle of al-Rassafe, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

On Wednesday, Syrian Army Air Force destroyed vehicles for ISIS to the north side of Zakia crossroads and the south side of al-Tabqa city in the countryside of Raqqa province.

Syrian army in cooperation with popular defense groups, backed by Syrian and Russian air forces, began on 2 June a wide military operation on Athriya-Khanaser- al-Tabqa axis that resulted so far to establish control over Zakia-Deir Haffer crossroads, Abu al-Zain mountains, al-Masbah area, Abu al-Alaaj village, power and oil pumping
plants, two oil fields, Harbiyat and Anbaj villages and al-Safeeh triangle at Habari field.

Later, an army unit eliminated members of a terrorist group affiliated to ISIS, most of them foreigners, and destroyed a car bomb at the entrance of Safia oil field in the western countryside of Raqqa.

Lattakia

Army units established control over the areas of Nawwara, al-Hayat, Ain Issa, al-Shahroura, Abu Ali and al-Rweisseh in Lattakia northern countryside.

Earlier, Army units established full control on the towns and hills of Shir al-Nimer, al-Nimer and al-Hayat tower in Lattakia northern countryside adjacent to the Turkish borders.

Army units clashed with terrorist groups from Jabhat al-Nusra who attacked several areas in Lattakia northern countryside, inflicting heavy losses on them in personnel and equipment.

Daraa

The army units targeted monitoring and reconnaissance position for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization east of al-Khuder Hill, 7  km east of Daraa city , a military source told SANA.

The army’s operation resulted in destroying the position completely with all arms and ammunition it contains and killing a number of terrorists.

In al-Nuaimeh area , east of Daraa city, another army unit destroyed a den used by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists for manufacturing the explosive devices to target the safe neighboring areas.
