Moscow, SANA – Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Western partners to push the political process in Syria forward by using their connections with the opposition.
In a joint press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto after the conclusion of their talks in Moscow on Tuesday, Putin said that the crisis in Syria, along with a number of international crises, was discussed during their meeting.
For his part, Niinisto pointed out to the importance of President Putin’s position towards the situation in Syria and Iraq, adding that there is a mutual desire for the continuation of the cessation of hostilities in Syria, in addition to continuing the political process with the contribution of Russia and the United States.
