Damascus, SANA- The candidacy committees for the People’s Assembly upcoming elections in the Syrian provinces finished on Monday studying the legality of candidacy applications.
In a statement to SANA, head of the Higher Judicial Committee for Elections Judge Hisham al-Shaar said that the committee will announce later on Monday the names of those whose nominations were accepted according to the sequence of the alphabetical order for each sector separately.
The candidacy committees began on March 3rd to decide on the legality of candidacy applications which numbered 11341 requests from various provinces.
The committees give the accepted candidate a final receipt. Thereafter, the candidate will have the right to publicize his platform, objectives and everything concerning his electoral program in addition to giving speeches and holding festivals.
