Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain 2 to 3 degrees below average as the country is under the influence of low air pressure accompanied by western wet currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere, as different amounts of rainfalls were registered in various areas across the country over the past 24 hours.
The heaviest rainfalls were recorded in Hama province, especially in Mesyaf 170 mm and 127,5 in al-Sheikh Bader in Tartous.
According to the bulletin of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reforms, the amounts of rainfalls during the past 24 hours in some Syrian provinces were as follows: Damascus and Damascus countryside 7.5mm, Homs 56mm, Hama 170mm, Tartous 127.5mm, Lattakia 44, Aleppo 20mm, and Hasaka 24mm.
The meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes in general as local rain showers are expected over various areas across the country, while they will be mixed with snow sometimes on the al-Jazeera and northern areas and snow will fall over the mountainous heights.
The winds will be southwesterly of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of low to medium amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 09/03, Daraa 11/02, Homs 08/-1, Hama 07/ -2, Hasaka 05/-2, Lattakia 11/07, Tartous 13/08, Aleppo 05/-1 and Deir Ezzor 09/02.
