People’s Assembly holds final session for 2015

Damascus, SANA – The People’s Assembly discussed on Wednesday in its last session for the year 2015 the service situation and the challenges facing the industrial and economic sectors due to the terrorist war on the country.

Chairing the session, Speaker Mohammad Jihad al-Laham called on the government to step up efforts to continue providing services, limit the rise of prices, observe and manage markets, prevent any manipulation of exchange rate, and fight corruption.

In turn, Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi stressed the government’s commitment to providing all services to citizens, adding that the terrorist war on Syria has affected all aspects of life in the country, which compelled the government to work to address the repercussions of this war and limit their impact on citizens as much as possible.
