The army destroys sites of terrorists, foils infiltration attempts in several areas

Provinces, SANA-The army killed on Saturday more terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS in continued operations against their positions, where hideouts and sites for the terrorist organizations are getting destroyed.

Damascus countryside 

A unit of the army carried out a special operation against a position of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” on the axis of Harasta al-Qantara in the surroundings of Marj al-Sultan in the Eastern Ghota, Damascus Countryside.

Field sources told SANA that the targeted hotbed was destroyed with all the arms and ammunition inside it, and a number of terrorists were killed including one of the leaders of Jaish al-Islam, terrorist Omar al-Qutaifani.

Another unit eliminated a terrorist group between the towns of Maida’a and al-Dmair after monitoring the group’s attempts to sneak during the night in the direction of al-Dmair, leaving all the members of the group dead.

Meanwhile, the Takfiri terrorist organizations acknowledged on their pages on the social networking websites that a number of their members were killed including one of the leaders of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist Abu Mohammad Sham.

Daraa and Sweida

An army unit clashed with terrorist groups that infiltrated into the surroundings of military posts to the north of the bridge of al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbieh in the northeastern countryside of Daraa.

Most of the terrorist groups’ members were killed or injured in during the clashes, while the rest managed to flee.

In Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa city, an army unit destroyed hideouts and fortified positions of terrorists in the surroundings of Um al-Daraj well in al-Bajabjeh quarter.

Another army unit carried out a night raid against a den of the terrorists to the north of al-Bitar farm in the surroundings of Atman town, 4 km to the north of Daraa City.

A military source confirmed to SANA that all terrorists inside the den were killed and others were injured and their arms were destroyed.

The source added that among the killed terrorists was the leader of one of the terrorist groups, terrorist Ayead al-Zoubi.

A unit of the army also destroyed a concentration of terrorists in al-Nu’aima town.

In the countryside of the neighboring Sweida province, heavy losses were inflicted upon the Takfiri terrorists in the arms and personnel in an operation carried out by an army unit against their dens in Deir Dama in al-Lajat area.

 Aleppo

The popular committees working in the towns of Nobboul and al-Zahra, 20 km to the northwest of Aleppo City, clashed with terrorists, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, after they infiltrated into the surroundings of al-Bairin factory to the east of al-Zahra town.

Field sources told SANA that fortifications and vehicles of the terrorists were destroyed in the clashes and all terrorists inside them were killed or injured while the remnants fled.

For more than two years, Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri terrorist organizations have attacked the towns of Nobboul and al-Zahra several times.

Homs

The Syrian Air Force destroyed vehicles for ISIS terrorists in al-Hadath, Hawareen, al-Qariyatein and Mhein in the south east countryside of Homs. Scores of terrorists were killed and their weapons destroyed during the operations.

Later, army units targeted ISIS bases and fortified sites in al-Tarr mountain, south of Aloun farm, and at the western entrance of Palmyra (Tadmur) city, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment upon the terrorists.

Meanwhile an army unit thwarted an attack on a military point by a terrorist group coming from al-Hayyal mountain, leaving the attacking terrorists dead or injured, in addition to destroying three vehicles and a machinegun-equipped car in the direction of Wadi Abyad dam west of Palmyra.

In the province’s northern countryside, an army unit targeted hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the surroundings of Jabourin, Abu al-Sanasel, and Oum Sharshouh villages north of Homs city, destroying fortified sites, bases, weapons, and military equipment for the terrorists.

The army also thwarted an attack by ISIS on military points in the surroundings of Mhein and Hawareen villages, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying their weapons and munitions, according to sources on the ground.

Idleb and Hama

At least 25 terrorists from Jaish al-Fateh (Conquest Army) terrorist organization were killed in a series of operations carried out by Army and Armed Forces units in Idleb and Hama provinces, sources on the ground told SANA.

The sources said that a leader in Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization called Faissal al-Ghazi was killed along with a number of his cohorts in a series of special operations conducted by the army in the village of Kansafra 38km south of Idleb city.

Another unit destroyed bases for Jabhat al-Nusra at the outskirts of Jisr al-Shughour city, killing at least 7 terrorists and injuring more than 10.

In the countryside of Khan Sheikhoun 70km south of Idleb city, the army destroyed a hideout for “Jund al-Aqsa” terrorist group and a vehicle, in addition to killing 7 terrorists in al-Tamani’a town.

In Hama’s northern countryside, sources on the ground said that 9 terrorists were killed and two vehicles that were transporting them were destroyed following a guided missile attack which targeted Jaish al-Fateh hideouts in Atshan area.

An army units killed terrorists Mohammad al-Abdullah and Marouf al-Fozi, who were two leaders of the “gathering of brigades and battalions of al-Ezza” terrorist group, near Latmin 40km north of Hama city.

The sources also said that two bases for the “Islamic Union of Ajnad al-Cham” terrorists were destroyed in a special operation by the army in Skaik village, killing and injuring many terrorists in the process.
