Damascus, SANA-The temperatures will drop gradually to become below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by northwestern, cold polar and wet air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general to cloudy sometimes with a chance of rain over most areas and snow on the heights above 1400 m.
The department warned of forming frost in most internal and mountainous areas during night.
The winds will be westerly to northwesterly of high speed sometimes and the sea waves will be moderate to high in height.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 15/05, Aleppo 10/03, Homs 13/04, Hama 14/03, Idleb 10/3, Hadaka 12/03, Raqqa 11/04, Daraa 14/04, Sweida 11/03 and Lattakia
17/09.
Rainfalls prevailed the country during the past 24 hours, the heaviest was in the central province of Hama.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform rain bulletin the amounts of rainfall reached 12.5mm in Damascus countryside, 2 mm in Daraa, 5 mm in Sweida, 26 mm in Quneitra, 22 mm in Homs, 31 mm in Hama, 18 mm in Tartous, 10 mm in Lattakia, 12 mm in Aleppo and 20 mm in Hasaka.
