Damascus, SANA- Central Bank of Syria (CBS) held on Sunday an intervention session for selling a quantity of USD to exchange companies at SYP 354 against 1 dollar.
CBS Governor Adib Mayaleh affirmed during the session that the CBS will continue its interference in the foreign exchange market on a weekly basis.
“CBS is ready to meet the market needs of foreign currency with no restrictions or limits,” he noted.
The governor assured representatives of exchange companies that the SYP exchange rate will increase in the upcoming days due to the measures adopted by governmental bodies.
