Damascus, SANA-Competent authorities, in cooperation with the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-terrorism Financing Association, are currently inspecting three local exchange companies, a source at the Association said.
The source told SANA on Monday that inspection of al-Haram al-Kadmous and Biko exchange companies is currently underway, indicating that extensive investigations have yielded a great deal of information pertaining to the companies’ work.
The inspection comes in the context of a rigorous clampdown on money laundering and financing terrorism.
